My research focuses on the mathematical modelling of toxic protein accumulation in Alzheimer’s disease and its interplay with vascular degeneration. By treating the spread of amyloid beta and ischaemia through the brain as a dynamical system, my goal is to gain qualitative insight into key features of the disease through mathematical analysis and simulation.
